“ Ordered a caramel Frappuccaro and a BLT. Heaven on Earth for $20. The ice in the Frappe was a little thick for my liking but Heaven’s To Betsy it’s so good. The BLT is even better. This place would fix a crumbling marriage better than any amount of counseling. Maccaro is def the best meetup spot on King Street, hands down. ”

“ Review: If you're looking for a great cup of tea and breakfast, this is the place — cozy, warm, and beautifully balanced. The food and customer service were A+. It’s a perfect stop for travelers or visitors; they even have charming gifts and keepsakes for those “keys of precious moments” to collect. The bookshelf and cozy couches sealed the experience for me. As I relaxed and sipped my tea, I could take in the city from the window view — pure peace. I truly embody this place. I ordered the Zen Tea with steamed crème and honey, along with a croissant sandwich — light, large, and buttery perfection. ”

“ The owners are very sweet. The chocolate tiramisu is my favorite. Their croffles are also very amazing. Overall, the atmosphere is super comfy. There is not one employee that isn't nice here. It is also a great study spot or a possible quiet date spot for anyone who needs it. ”

“ My husband and I came in and got two coffees and a bite to eat each. We got iced mocha and iced vanilla latte. I found it odd that for mine most of the mocha sauce was on the inside of the cup and at the bottom rather than mixed into the drink. My husband said he couldn’t taste any vanilla in his, and it appeared all the flavoring was at the bottom of his drink as well. It’s great they have the cups that don’t require straws but it made it impossible for us to mix in our flavors. The flavor of the espresso was good, and they are able to do decaf. Just disappointed my mocha had only had mocha flavor for my last few sips when I got to the bottom. My husband didn’t even drink his latte :( The food was good, I had the turkey panini and husband has the croffle with the Nutella topping. He said you have to eat it hot otherwise it gets hard and tough. My sandwich was good just on the smaller side. If I wasn’t pregnant I probably would have been happy with the size With 4.8 stars at the time of our visit, I had high hopes for this place when we treated ourselves. At $35 I just feel disappointed. We went at 11a, so it wasn’t what I consider a busy time (no other customers were there when we arrived, although they do DoorDash orders). Of course everyone can have an off day, and with lots of other highly positive reviews perhaps this was a fluke. ”

“ I haven’t had this great of an experience in Charleston at a restaurant in over a year!! I LOVED the vibes, the drinks were fantastic, and the staff was so helpful, happy, and nice! The price was extremely good. We got 2 bacon egg and cheeses (one on croissant), almond croissant, an iced caramel latte, and a mango bubble fruit. Cannot recommend this place enough- everything tasted great! (Also the staff gave us a free sample of their croissant waffle and it was so good) ”

“ I went and got the brown sugar boba 2 times and it was amazing each time! I can actually taste the brown sugar and the boba was chewy and consistent each time. They also offer student discount which I really appreciate! Staff was nice and I loved the decor! ”

“ I always come here to get all my goodies and then i've already made it a habit to get my coffee that's the next stop at Blum Coffee on Meeting Street. I typically get some work done from there. These two things are a killer combination for me. the staff at maccaro is friendly and the product is fresh ”

“ This place checks all the boxes. Its such a warm and inviting spot. Their croffles are soooo good. Perfect pastry for a rainy day (or a sunny one :). I can't wait to go back to try their bubble tea! ”
